Job Description:
Flower World Inc. is looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee and maintain over 15 acres of greenhouses. You will play a critical role in seeing projects to completion and ensuring the operational integrity of our facilities. You will promote a safe and efficient work environment for our team, and keep equipment operational. The ideal candidate will have primary background skills associated with construction and repair. While the position requires the management of our facilities team, a major focus of this role requires working along side the team physically doing the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians and construction staff.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Oversee equipment and machinery maintenance, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects within budget and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and expenditures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facility management with an emphasis in construction and/or plumbing.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects starting with a "hands on" approach to each one.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and facility management software.
