Overview
The Assistant Director of Agro Tourism plays a vital role in supporting the development and management of agro-tourism initiatives that promote sustainable agriculture, local culture, and community engagement. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for agriculture and tourism, and the ability to coordinate various programs and activities. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Produce Market Manager to enhance visitor experiences, oversee operational activities, and ensure the successful implementation of agro-tourism projects in multiple locations.

Duties

  • Execution of daily operations of 80 acre valley location with year round support of other activities associated with the main location.
  • Assist the growing team with vegetable and fruit production.
  • Oversee daily operations of agro-tourism facilities, ensuring safety standards and quality service delivery.
  • Organizing activities and the supportive marketing associated with all the Agro tourism events of both locations.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations related to tourism activities.
  • Prior experience in tourism management, event planning, or community engagement is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for agriculture, sustainability, and promoting local culture through tourism initiatives.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed for events or special programs. Temporary on site residence may be required.

Pay: Starting at $60,000.00 per year - DOE
