Produce Manager for our Maltby Produce Market: Taking applications for a hands-on market manager with experience in all facets of running a fresh fruit & produce market. We are looking for an energetic person who loves a physical job and thrives in the fast paced requirements with the customary deadlines known to the ‘fresh’ food markets! We grow 70% – 80% of the produce and fruit in greenhouses and on 20 plus acres in the Maltby area. Additional supplies, when needed are purchased from local producers. Will be in charge of daily harvesting, processing, display and getting the product ready for farmers markets. Must be able to supervise 3 – 5 people and has good customer service. Must be familiar with value-added products and be able to take inventory and place orders. Will include weekend and evening work. We offer a full-time position with good benefits. Salary DOE.
- Cashiers and Customer Service. Several full time and part
time positions are opening in late February. Part time positions with
flexible hours including weekends and late shifts. Full time positions
may include one weekend day. Cashier experience and some plant knowledge
will be helpful. Will train. Wages start at $ 9.10 per hour or DOE.
- Loaders and Customer Support. Lending a helping hand with
preparing and loading plants and shrubs. A physical job with some heavy
lifting. Needs to be energetic with a pleasant disposition. We are
looking to fill several FT and PT positions for the spring and summer
with flexible hours including weekends. Will train. Wages start at $
9.10 per hour.
- Retail Plant Sales personnel for stocking, maintaining, and
the display of merchandise in one of the several specific plant
departments. Our retail complex covers a large area and consists out of
five main departments: annuals, fruit/flowering trees, grasses/Japanese
maples, nursery stock and perennials/groundcovers. Retail experience as well
as customer service a plus. Plant knowledge required. Forklift
experience helpful. Several full time
and part time position need to be filled. Wages DOE.
- Front End Managers: Will be needing experienced front end
managers to help us manage the front end of our Retail Garden Center
checkout. Are looking for persons with excellent customer service and
employee relations. Needs to be energetic and have an eye for detail.
Includes hiring and scheduling of FT and PT cashiers and loaders.
Responsible for keeping an eye on restocking inventory and front end
displays. Plant knowledge very helpful but not absolutely necessary.
These positions will include at least one weekend day. Excellent wages,
DOE, and benefits.
- Plant Propagator: We have an opening for an experienced plant propagator to be in charge of our propagation area. Are looking for an energetic person with a love of plants and at least 5 years experience in propagation field. We are processing most of our annual, perennial and woody nursery stock cuttings in about an acre of propagation houses. Most programs are in place but we need someone to make it all happen. This person will be responsible for 10 – 15 employees. It is an exciting opportunity for the right person due to the extensive plant variety Flower World is growing. Bi-langual helpful but not necessary. This is a full time position with excellent benefits. Salary DOE.
